We specialise in providing first time work experience, preparing our team members to add a list of successful work experiences to their CV, built on a stable platform of communication, teamwork and mechanical skills. When they achieve an age for a conventional employer they then present as the prime prospect for any of their chosen employers. Luck happens when preparedness meets opportunity.
The structure of the time involvement for our team members may start with something that looks like behaving as a dedicated school academy sport.
We work with special needs folks. 18 years ago I proposed a phrase: "Don't dis my abilities."

A 10-year-old grandchild living in Melbourne, communicating recently on Viber video recited 5 favourite subjects in school. He played soccer; his other granddad represented NZ in soccer. The grandson now plays Futsal (https://www.austfutsal.com) and recently started playing tennis.
He loves testing which hot wheels car (of hundreds) gets down the ramp fastest.
I reckon he and his teacher/cheerleader mum could put together a pretty impressive CV right now.

Answer: "Stay there." That team member now holds a good career position with NIWA in Christchurch.
